Neither buy in the store nor fill the car: Ukrainians "broke" the financial system in the Russian Federation

Russian companies cannot use accounting services and work for full force, which creates many difficulties for ordinary Russians. Ukrainian hackers paralyzed the work of one of the largest ERP systems of Russia "1C-Rarus". The information was posted on the official Telegram channel of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine on Wednesday, December 27.

"1C-Rarus" is a program that automates accounting, management, tax accounting used by Russian technological giants such as "Tatneft" and "VTB". The failures in her work began on Wednesday morning. Customers in stores and gas stations were unable to pay because the cashier did not work. "One of the largest ERP systems in Russia has stopped work due to the attacks of the Ukrainian IT Army. Customers cannot use accounting services and work in full force.

Everything is due to our Cyberwares," the Ministry said. At 11:08 in the official Telegram-channel "1C-Rarus" there was a message that work is underway to restore access to cloud services. However, as of 4:00 pm, the service did not work fully in Moscow or in St. Petersburg, nor in Penza, which users complained in comments to the message.

Moreover, in the Russian social network VK on the 1C-Rarus page at about 15:00 there was a message that the DDOS-Atacus dynamically changes its parameters and does not stop. Also, the company providing automation services has recognized that the DDOS protection systems of communication operators with similar loads in automatic mode are not coped.

In this regard, the Russians began to be interested if they would give them free periods of work in the system and whether their personal data were injured during a hacker attack. Moreover, users reported that freelance situations with "1C-Rarus" have already happened: from December 15, 2022 people did not have access to the system for three days. And some of the Russians even suggested that the developer suggest to compensate for millions of losses that resulted from a hacker attack.

"Interesting that the contract is spelled out, can we file a collective lawsuit and recover a million for a simple job at work? - wrote one of the users of the system in the comments to the starting post. We will remind, a few days earlier Ukrainian hackers attacked "Rosvodokanal". They encrypt more than six thousand computers and deleted more than 50 TB of data, which was why the work of the company stopped.
