There is no threat to Russian citizens from the Armed Forces, Kostenko stressed....

Ukraine does not evacuate the inhabitants of the Kursk region of the Russian Federation - People's Deputy

There is no threat to Russian citizens from the Armed Forces, Kostenko stressed. The danger to their lives can arise if the Russian aviation begins to drop bombs into their own settlements. Ukrainian authorities and defense forces do not evacuate residents of settlements in the territory of the Kursk region of Russia, which are now under the control of our Armed Forces.

The secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Roman Kostenko told this on Radio Liberty. According to him, there is no evacuation of the Russians to Ukraine at this time. The People's Deputy emphasized that there are no hostilities in the rear of Ukrainian troops in settlements, and people simply continue to live.

"Our commandant is created there under the guidance of General Edward Moskalov, they keep order and ensure life," Roman Kostenko reminded, explaining that according to Geneva Conventions, the state that controls the occupied territories must be responsible for everything that is happening there including the local population.

He noted that the locals have the opportunity to leave part of the Kursk region from the uncontrolled Russian Federation into the territory controlled by the Russian Federation. But the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation can both miss their civilians and destroy "on the approach". In addition, the elect stressed, in the areas where the clashes occur, they do not definitely do not go. Kostenko says that there is no threat to Russian citizens from the Armed Forces, as well as the need to leave.

"For Russians who are in the occupied territory, I did not see the threat so that they had to go there, throw their homes that someone is mocking them there," he said. The People's Deputy may have noted if Moscow, in the future, pulls up his troops or applies aviation, as in the case of Ukrainian cities, then local residents will feel more, but it is from the Russian Federation rather than from Ukraine.
