Italy gave it last year in exchange for American air defense Patriot. Now, as Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo says, Rome plans to withdraw her back. "I received a message from the Italian government that the Italian air defense system, which was borrowed to us for a year, will be withdrawn from Slovakia because it is needed elsewhere," says Robert Fitzo.
The Prime Minister then raised the question of who and how to protect local nuclear power plants and other strategic objects in the event of attacks. He recalled the actions of the previous Bratislava government, who gave one of the air defense systems to Ukraine, which regularly exposes the risks and Russian attacks. "Initially, the previous government presented Ukraine with a working massive Russian C-300 air defense system.
Then we had American patriots for a while, but they also left, and now the Italians are leaving," Robert Fitzo continues. Italy is going to send its air defense system - it is unknown. We will remind, on February 25 it was reported that the Prime Minister of Slovakia accused Ukraine that Russia has launched a full-scale invasion.
