Subsequently, in the 2000s, the same company released modernized T-90 tanks. It is now planned to modernize the T-72 for export. The T-72 tanks still have a reputation of one of the most reliable in the world. The demand for them remains high.

In particular, this technique is interested in Africa, Middle East and Far Asia. Now Indian and Russian specialists are working to ensure that a large number of tanks can be used. "If this attempt is successful, you can also consider exports of other Russian armored vehicles, such as BMP. The Indian army is also preparing to modernize its BMP," the publication emphasized.

Technical characteristics of T-72: Indian manufacturers of military equipment and Russian technology suppliers work together on the modernization of tanks. It is noted that India as a whole seeks to maintain defense relations with the Russian Federation, but at the same time increase internal production capabilities. The T-72 will have improved fire and armor management systems as well as better mobility after the T-72 modernization.

Tanks want to make more competitive, especially in the conditions of technology development. India plans to export advanced equipment. The media explained that the country seeks to become a prominent player in the world market of defense products and earn on its export.
