The Russian Armed Forces began to dig trenches with ceilings: why do the occupants need it - experts (photo)

Military analysts have suggested that Russian troops, closing the trenches from above, want to protect the staff from the blows of Dronov-Kamikadze. However, there is another reason for the construction of such structures. Russian invaders began to create trenches of the so -called closed type. The soldiers of the 501st separate battalion of the Marines of the Armed Forces recorded such structures, which were covered with "ceiling" from improvised materials.

This was paid to this by Defense Express analysts, calling in their material on December 10, the probable reasons for the creation of such fortifications. Views write that the Russians are creating over sheds to protect the staff from Ukrainian drones. Interestingly, such "ceilings" are created even with the solar panel stolen. And the enemy closes the trenches not only from above, but also from the sides.

Thus, these structures prevent Ukrainian drones from performing combat missions, which is why the requirements for their skills are increasing. "Given that the enemy is very strong in the creation of fortifications, it is quite possible to expect a significant spread of similar solutions, when the entire length of hostile positions will be additionally protected from drones," - experts say.

Meanwhile, Western observers on this issue write that such "ceilings" over Russian trenches are designed not so much to protect against FPV-punks, as in order to hide the movement of their troops. As an argument, they point out that the materials from which these fortifications are collected are a metal profile for rapid assembly of a frame, a tarpaulin, the remains of armored vehicles, etc. -not designed to dispel the energy of the drone-Kamikadze.

"The main purpose of these additional grates and roofs in the trenches is more strategic. They serve as a visual shield from Ukrainian drone operators, effectively hiding the movement of Russian troops in trenches. Thus, they knock down the sight of drones, providing tactical protection. " We will remind, according to analysts with ISW, the invaders change the territory along the front line with the help of unmanned aerial vehicles.
