"There is no deficit": the night attack did not affect the situation in the power system of Ukraine - "Ukrenergo"

Vladimir Kudrytsky, the chairman of the board of the National Energy Company "Ukrenergo" told this at a briefing in Kiev, the focus correspondent reports. According to the head of the company, in recent days in Ukraine there have been practically no power of electricity, since the power system has sufficient generation capacity. As a result, the operator did not prove consumption limits in the regions.

However, in the Kiev and Odessa regions the situation remains difficult, so network restrictions on electrical consumption continue there. "This is due to the fact that broken networks that are now actively restored are not yet capable of missing 100% of electricity in order to cover 100% of consumption," Kudrytsky explained. Despite the fact that in general the situation in the country has improved significantly, Ukrainians relax early, the head of the company emphasizes.

"The situation is still far from being stable. It is very early to relax. Our victory on the energy front is still ahead," he added. Kudrytsky noted that the country remains the threat of another missile shelling of the Russian Federation. However, the attack on February 16 did not make the situation worse. One of the reasons for improving the situation in the power system was favorable weather conditions. The absence of severe frosts has reduced consumption.

According to Kudrytsky, the approach of spring also plays a situation in the Ukrainian energy. "Winter ends. In a month and a half, we will talk about the exit from the heating season," he reminded. If Ukraine during this period manages to avoid serious destruction in the power system through new shelling, then the situation will remain stable.

In order to improve the supply of electricity for consumers, Ukrenergo needs to eliminate all the so -called "narrow places" in the power networks that affect light shutdown now. We will remind, on February 15, the CEO of Yasno Sergey Kovalenko said that Ukrenergo managed to restore a considerable number of generation capacity in the country. Now all nuclear, hydro and thermal power plants work in the country.
