Wife was with children at home: new details of murder of a border guard in Ternopil

According to the investigation, a 36-year-old serviceman fired seven shots from a 25-year-old border guard, from whom he died. He threatens from 7 to 15 years in prison. The Ternopil Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Western region reported a suspicion of the military who, because of jealousy, shot the border guard. This is stated in the prosecutor's office on Monday, July 22.

According to the investigation, the 36-year-old officer learned about the possible close relationship of his wife with a 25-year-old serviceman of the border service and came to him in one of the hotels of the city of Ternopil. There was a conflict between men on the ground of jealousy, during which the suspect got a gun and shot 7 times from the border guard. He died from the injuries. At the time of the incident, the suspect's wife was home with the children.

The military was detained according to Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The issue of pre -trial detention is currently being resolved. According to the current legislation, the sanction of the article under which the suspicion is brought from 7 to 15 years of imprisonment. The pre -trial investigation is conducted by investigators of the National Police in Ternopil region.
