Night hunting on the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation: Russians complain of flocks of drones that see them in the dark

Last year, the Russians began to actively use drones-Kamikadze with night vision against the Armed Forces, and now they themselves suffer losses from such Ukrainian UAVs, which are very difficult to knock down. For the first time, the Russian soldiers recorded mass use of defense forces of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye region a flock of shock drones equipped with night vision systems.

About it reports in his Telegram-channel the former head of "Roscosmos", and now the Russian military "advisor" and propagandist Dmitry Rogozin. According to him, the Russians noticed similar use of drones for the first time. Prior to that, only groups of Baba Yaga's large drone, which also served as a repeater, and smaller drones with the discharge of ammunition, which were visited by them quite often-"echelon" were noted.

Dmitry Rogozin told what means, in his opinion, he could interfere with drones. These are the "trenches" of the remedies with the analysis of frequencies that would detect drones and neutralize them. He also talks about 7. 62 mm machine guns, which would have a remote control and night optics. He emphasizes that Ukrainian drones, even in the case of one of them, notice the fire points of the Russians and strike on them.

According to Rogozin, the Russians successfully use sniper couples who affect UAV. However, snipers are forced to shoot rarely and hit the first shot, otherwise Ukrainian operators will notice and destroy them. Recall that the Russians began to use against the Armed Forces FPV-punks in the fall of 2023. For night raids, the Russian military can use both budget and more expensive cameras, but at that time they did not have full thermal imagers.

Last year, it was probably the Runcam Night Eagle 3 budget chambers, with an average value of $ 50 and more expensive cameras, which will have to pay from $ 250 to $ 400. In order to avoid detecting a night vision of a non -thermal imaginary, the military advised to choose camouflage, which in reflection is not too different from the environment, not to wear large panels with "Velcro" and other contrasting elements.

The most problems of the attack of new drones are caused to the defenders of Ukraine, which are crossed at night through the Dnieper in the southern direction.

At night, under the cover of darkness, the most active movements occur on the forefront: rotation of personnel, evacuation of the wounded, transportation of ammunition, movement of equipment, etc. The Russians began to use drones-Kamikadze with night chambers, which was caught by the Armed Forces by surprise, as the Ukrainian units were not ready for it.
