Connect through Poland: the media have learned how the Russian Federation uses Starlink in Ukraine

According to journalists, Starlink accounts are activated through Poland using proxy servers. At the same time, the terminals of the company Ilona Mask can be taken directly in Moscow. The Russian army buys Starlink satellite communication terminals from private sellers and uses them in the occupied territories of Ukraine, connecting to networks in Poland through NATO proxy. About it writes Newsweek with reference to the independent site of journalistic investigations "Important History".

After the Russian scheme Starlink was revealed in the report of the intelligence services through the proxy servers, journalists of "important historians" talked with representatives of three Russian sites who offered Starlink for sale. They specified that the terminals work only near the Ukrainian borders - in the depths of Russia they will not be used.

At the same time, the managers confirmed that personal accounts on their terminals are connected to the Starlink devices, which is managed by the Aerospace Company Ilon SpaceX, through Poland, and the third called simply a "European country".

"In general, sellers promise that their terminals will continuously operate in the occupied territories of Ukraine, including the Crimea, as well as in the European enclave of the Russian Federation Kaliningrad and on Kamchatka near Japan," - writes "Important History". They claim that, according to Russian sellers, all the terminals on sale are already tuned and ready for use.

Versions V1, V2 RV and SL Global, and the goods can be taken out personally in the Moscow area Khoroshevo-Mnevniki in residential buildings near the shopping center "Aviarsky" on the Choinsky field and near the dwelling house on General Glagolev Street. At the same time, Ukrainian military intelligence reports that Russian invaders are increasingly using Starlink terminals on the battlefield, and sell them through numerous Russian online stores, where they supply through intermediaries in Dubai.

Newsweek has contacted the united Arab Emirates, Poland and Russia for comments by e -mail. There were no answers at the time of publication. At the same time, Musk continues to argue that Starlink is not supplied to Russia "directly or indirectly". SpaceX in response to Newsweek's email did not comment, instead referring to the statement Mask on the social network X. "SpaceX does not conduct any business with the Russian government or its armed forces," the Mask said.

At the same time, SpaceX stated that Starlink is not active in Russia, which means that the service will not work in this country. "SpaceX never sold Starlink in Russia and also sent equipment to Russia. If Russian stores say they sell Starlink to serve in this country, they deceive their customers. Starlink also does not work in Dubai and cannot be purchased in Dubai - SpaceX does not supply there.

In addition, Starlink has not authorized any extraneous intermediaries, resellers or distributors of any kind to sell Starlink in Dubai, "the company says. He adds that if SpaceX, he says, learns that the Starlink terminal is used by a party under sanctions or an unauthorized party, they will investigate the claim and take "measures to deactivate the terminal, if it is confirmed.

" In fact, the statement did not directly raise the question of the potential use of Starlink outside Russia, namely in the occupied territories of Ukraine, which generates further speculation. "The Starlink geography map on its website apparently covers at least some of the contested territories and territories occupied by Russia," the journalists suggest.
