The President of the Russian Federation recalled that a joint regional group of troops, Russian modern defensive complexes and tactical nuclear weapons were launched in Belarus. During the meeting of Russian leader Vladimir Putin with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko discussed the issue of formation of a single defense space and synchronous exercises of non -strategic nuclear forces. The Kremlin head reported this at a press conference in Minsk, writes Russian "Interfax".

"Given the tense situation on the external borders of the Union State, during the negotiations, they discussed the issues of formation of a single defense space in detail," Putin said. At the same time, he added that a joint regional group of troops, Russian modern defensive complexes and tactical nuclear weapons were launched in the territory of Belarus. "All this reliably covers the western borders of our countries and the CDC," he added.

"We have also considered the execution of ours with Alexander Grigorovich assignments on synchronous conducting in Russia and Belarus exercises on the skills of using non -strategic nuclear weapons, which have been informed by the public on May 9," Putin said. In turn, Lukashenko called the level of interaction and trust between Belarus and Russia. "Recently, there is a noticeable uplift in Belarusian-Russian relations.
