Stop Transit: Naftogaz spoke about further cooperation with Russia

According to Alexei Chernyshov, the chairman of Naftogaz, the Ukrainian company did not receive absolutely any dividends from Russia for organizing fuel transit to Europe. Moreover, the Russian Federation constantly violates the terms of the contract. The largest Ukrainian oil and gas company Naftogaz of Ukraine will not continue the contract for the transit of Russian gas in the territory of Ukraine, which is overcome in 2024.

Alexei Chernyshov, the head of Naftogaz, said this in an interview with the energy consulting agency of ICIS. At the same time, it does not exclude that Ukraine will have to take into account the needs of Europe in gas supply. As Alexey Chernyshov explained, in Naftogaz, as the organizer of transit, there is no claim within the existing arrangements with the Russian Federation, since Moscow supplies much less gas than it should under contract obligations.

"We do not seek the continuation of this contract, and this is a clear statement. We do not seek to continue it right now until Ukraine is at war with Russia. We serve this transit only as a service to our EU partners, so as not to deprive them of their basic gas needs Winter, "said Naftogaz. He also added that if European companies want Russian gas transit, even though the European Union has already voiced the date of step -by -step refusal According to the available contracts.

It should be noted that on July 6, 2023, Gazprom, Alexei Miller, headed Naftogaz with sanctions, as the Ukrainian company complained to Russian in arbitration courts. The Russian hinted that the Kremlin would veto any operations between companies. In particular, gas transit will also be banned by the territory of Ukraine. By the way, since last May, Ukraine has not transmitted gas through the gas metering station "Sokhranivka". It is guilty of Russia itself, as its military occupied the station.

At the same time, the volumes to the DHF "Sudzha" in Moscow refused and stopped the transit of gas through the Poland by the Pipeline of Yamal - Europe. In the summer of this year, the European Commissioner for Energy Simson assured that Europe has nothing to fear if the Russian monopolist Gazprom dare to completely stop gas transit through Ukraine.
