In Japan shortly after launch, a new space rocket exploded: what is known (video)

It was the first launch of the Kairos rocket, created by the Japanese company Space One. The new Kairos rocket launcher of the Japanese company Space One exploded a few seconds after launching into space, which aimed at testing the rocket itself and deriving the satellite in the Earth orbit, writes The Guardian. In focus. Technology has appeared its Telegram channel.

Subscribe not to miss the latest and most intrusive news from the world of science! Space One was founded in Japan in 2018, its founders were technological giants such as Canon Electronics, IHI Aerospace, Shimizu, and the State Bank for Japan Development. With the help of its solid fuel rocket Kairos, the Japanese company plans to enter the profitable market of commercial launches of satellites, which is rapidly developing and profitable, into the Earth's orbit.

But the first attempt to send a 18-meter rocket to space with a satellite on board ended in a disaster. The Kairos rocket launched from the Space One starting platform in Japan on March 13 as part of the first test flight, which was to show that the rocket not only works normally but can also bring satellites into the Earth's orbit. But a few seconds after the start of the rocket exploded in a remote mountainous area and its burning debris fell on the surrounding slopes.

According to Space One, it is not yet known what caused the disaster. The Kairos rocket had to bring the satellite to the Earth orbit about 51 minutes after the start. It is known that due to the lack of spare parts and other problems, Space One 5 times transferred the date of launching the rocket into space. Failed first launch of space missiles is not something unusual. This can be confirmed by experts from the American company SpaceX.

According to Focus, the latest heavy Starship rocket, after two unsuccessful launches into space, according to the company, still undergoes the third test scheduled for March 14. We remind that in July last year, another Japanese solid fuel rocket Epsilon S also exploded during the trials, as focus has already written. Last December, a new Japanese H3 missile rocket exploded during launch, as focus has already written, but in February it was a successful test.

For the Japanese Jaxa Space Agency, this rocket will now be the main launch into space. Among the success of Japan in the development of space is the recent successful landing of Slim module on the moon. Thus, Japan has become a fifth country in the world that was able to perform such a feat. As the focus wrote, the landing module after a short work on the moon went into the sleeping regime and it seemed that it would never come out of it, but he still did it.
