In Russia, the rates of contractors in 2024 have increased the seven

In the first half of the year, contracts with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation concluded 166. 2 thousand people. In the same period, in 2023, only 26. 7 thousand were such, written journalists of the edition "Important History". In 2024, at least 6 times compared to the previous year increased in Russia. This is evidenced by the expenditures of the Federal Budget of the Russian Federation, reports the publication "Important History". From April to June 2024, 92.

8 thousand people received a one -time payment for signing the contract. In total, 166. 2 thousand people were concluded in the first half of the year. The Deputy Chairman of the Russian Council Dmitry Medvedev reported that by July 2024, about 190 thousand people entered the service. In 2024, the number of contracts signed increased significantly. For comparison, in the first half of 2023, only 26. 7 thousand contracts were concluded, which is 6 times less than in 2024.

Journalists noted that these figures may not reflect the exact number of new contractors due to possible delays in payments. If a person signed a contract in March and received money in April, it will be taken into account in the statistics of the second quarter. This is confirmed by increased payments in the last quarter of 2023, when in October-December the Russian army received more than 200,000 new contractors, although the real rates of recruitment were not so high.

In order to attract more of their citizens to war, the Russian government increases payments. In August 2024, the federal payment increased from 195 thousand to 400 thousand rubles, and regional payments increased four times. The sources of the publication report that in 2023 the regions were able to fulfill the set of only 50-60%. In 2024, these rates increased, but this is still not enough to compensate for Russian losses.
