According to Denis Popovich's military observer, the situation in the Avdeevsky direction is stabilized and the offensive of the invaders is suspended. The situation in the Avdeevsky direction continues to remain tense. The fighting is actively developing west of the city, near the settlements Toneyke and Orlovka. This was reported by military observer Denis Popovich in a comment to the Channel 24.

It is difficult for the Ukrainian military to keep control over these settlements because they have not been adapted to defense. Meanwhile, the enemy actively uses airbags, causing devastating blows to these areas. According to him, these settlements are located in the lowland, which creates uncomfortable conditions for defense. In contrast, Avdiivka is located on a tactical increase, which makes it ideal for defense.

However, as Popovich noted, due to a number of circumstances it was necessary to temporarily leave this position. As Avdiivka served as the main fortified position of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, settlements west of the city had no such powerful fortifications. "Currently, these fortifications are being built, but it is difficult to do it under the firing impact of the enemy," the military observer said.

At the same time, the Ukrainian armed forces disrupted the plans of Russian troops towards long -distance advancement, using the tactics "on the shoulders" of our forces against Avdiivka. Currently, the situation in this direction has stabilized, and the offensive of the invaders has been stopped. "Although it is difficult to say whether it is stopped at all, because the enemy accumulates reserves, and the offensive potential of the Russian army is still stored," Popovich emphasized.

The military analyst noted that despite the statements of Russian propaganda about the capture of settlements west of Avdiivka, the actual state of affairs is different from their ideas. If the enemy is present in these areas, then it happens only partially, and it is not able to strengthen its position in this direction. "It is very difficult for the Ukrainian forces to defend the thin, Orlovka. The Russians are now equalizing with the land of these settlements.

According to Denis Popovich's opinion, it may be more appropriate to win time to build defensive lines even to the west Avdiivka, where the terrain is better adapted for defense.
