According to the investigation, in 2022 the Ministry of Defense concluded with the state enterprise contracts for the supply of 400 large -caliber machine guns of the DSK for a total amount of UAH 193 million. However, only 200 units were delivered, which were of poor quality: without proper marking and low quality. Under combat conditions, the weapon could not keep a continuous shooting and after the first shots, it failed, due to the destruction of parts and mechanisms.
The expostine from the defense department and two heads of the state enterprise suspect the appropriation and waste of state property, as well as in obstruction of the legitimate activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. These actions qualify under Part 5 of Art. 191 and Part 2 of Art. 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. In addition, the heads of state -owned enterprise are charged with official forgery (Part 2 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
