Direct War of Russia and NATO: The Kremlin is not only threatened by Ukraine - an expert (video)

The analyst Alexander Musienko stated that it is necessary to warn NATO countries. Thus, public opinion is formed that it is worth supporting Ukraine to prevent the Alliance from the Russian Federation. NATO countries need to understand that Russia threatens not only Ukraine but also them. Therefore, the Alliance needs to increase military expenses. This was told by a military analyst, head of the Center for Military Legal Research Alexander Musienko in an interview with Channel 24.

According to him, attempts are now being made to return the West to the planning they followed during the Cold War. "Of course, the conceptual revision is ongoing. And this is good, because, given the existing bureaucratic procedures, it takes time," he said. Musienko said that Russia is now counting on the fact that something would change as a result of the election of the US President in 2024, as well as elections in Europe.

It is reported that there are various estimates of how quickly Russia can recover to fully resist NATO. According to one scenario, she needs 2 years to have the opportunity to invade Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia. According to another version, the Alliance has from 6 to 10 years to prepare for a full war. According to Musienko, in 2 years Russia will not be able to recover exactly.

Even raising defense costs will not mean that a sharp increase in the production of equipment or weapons will be observed in the Russian Federation. However, according to the expert, it is necessary to warn NATO countries. "This is how public opinion is formed that in this case, it is possible to support Ukraine now to prevent Russia's direct clash with NATO," Musienko said. Earlier it was reported that Ukraine has received accurate recommendations for NATO accession.
