Military albona is convinced that the Russians are too exaggerating mortality from the MPL-50 shovel, whose design has changed little since 1869 and continues to be used by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation as a weapon. The defense department is convinced that the use of infantry shovels indicates the cruelty and low -tech hostilities.
The British military also cited the words of one of the Russian mobilized, who stated that he was "not ready physically and morally" for the use of this type of weapon melee. In intelligence of the British Defense Ministry report that the latter indicate an increase in the number of melee in Ukraine.
The military believes that this is the result that the Russian command continues to insist on the offensive actions that are mostly composed of infantry, with less support for artillery fire, since there is not enough ammunition in Russia.
