"Not saved from the rocket": the Ministry of Defense opposed the establishment of civilian remedies

The call to local authorities and entrepreneurs independently to provide their own protection with the help of the EWS systems in January from Yuri Ignat. The head of the profile department of the Ministry of Defense denies this idea. Civilians cannot use the means of radio electronic wrestling, as the former speaker of the Ukrainian Air Force Yuriy Ignat said about it, this will not protect against missiles and harm the Ukrainian military.

Colonel Ivan Pavlenko, Head of the Main Department of Radio Electronic Wrestling and Cyber ​​Security of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, spoke on the initiative to establish radio protection by communities in an interview with Deutsche Welle. "Civil and communities cannot use electronic struggle under any conditions," Pavlenko stressed. According to him, the means of RBs are a kind of weapon.

Civilians do not know when it is necessary to switch on these systems so that they do not interfere with the military. Instead, a community or businesses can buy and transfer them to Ukraine's defense forces. At the same time, the means purchased for the city by the community or entrepreneurs could work to protect the city itself. "There are times, unfortunately, when citizens or organizations at their own discretion buy something, set up, and then it leads to significant harm.

It is very difficult to find this tool and stop it. It will not save your company from a winged rocket because The effectiveness of the missile and drone system can only be achieved through the complex use of various means, " - explains Colonel Pavlenko. We will remind, in January this year, Yuri Ignat suggested that communities buy and use the HR. He said that the complexes of the Reb are not weapons, so it can be freely purchased by local communities by "attracting the appropriate resource.

" According to Ignati, independent protection of local communities with the help of HRS is a "standard practice". According to him, some steps are taken in this direction. The installations issued by Ukrainian civilian enterprises are capable of rejecting the Russian Federation, and Dron Kamikadze, Ignati said. According to him, the executives of some companies have already begun to think about establishing independent protection.

Also during an interview, Colonel Pavlenko called "a cry of despair" monstrous structures from the tools of RBs on the tanks of the Russian Federation. The EWS complexes on Russian tanks are a "designer" of available devices that operate at different frequencies. In practice, the equipment already used by Russian invaders is poorly protected against drones. Previously, UAVs mostly used one range, so it was necessary to choose a remedy for these frequencies.

The situation has changed, now Ukrainian drones operate at different frequencies and even ranges, changing them as needed. To do this, it is necessary to suppress GPS signals next to the potential purpose, such as the object of energy infrastructure.
