The law on import of Russian electricity, for which MP Andriy Zhupanin spoke, led to the fact that before the war, Ukraine paid at least $ 65 million to Russia. This was stated by economist Boris Kushniruk, Ukrainian News reports. "In 2020, this MP was an active lobbyist for the restoration of electricity imports from Russia. It should be recalled that, given the Russian aggression, the seizure of Crimea and part of the Donbass territory, at that time there was a ban on electricity imports.

In 2021, one year before a full -scale invasion, Ukraine imported electricity by $ 87. 3 million, 75 percent of which is formally Belarus, but in fact from Russia, " - says Boris Kushniruk. According to the economist, all more or less significant types of export products from Russia, as well as Belarus, which has been under full control of the Kremlin for many years, have been controlled and agreed by the Russian special services.

"Because those who engaged in their imports into Ukraine, directly or through intermediaries became important agents of influence of Russia, and often fully published agents. By the way, this practice began in the distant 1990s. , and accordingly, the Russian special services were dreaming of eliminating Ukraine's independence, and therefore actively filled Ukraine with their agent, "the expert said.
