Russian aviation is trying to attack the Snake Island and disrupt the grain corridor - Humeniuk (video)

According to Natalia Humeniuk, the head of the South Defense Press Center, the recommended sea routes, that is, the navigation corridor, pass along the island. The Russian Black Sea Fleet, which is currently concentrating in the East of the Black Sea and cannot control its northwestern part, tries to attack the island of Snakes from the air to damage the grain corridor.

This was reported on April 1 at a briefing at the Media Center "Ukraine - Ukrinform" by the head of the United Coordination Press Center of Defense forces of South of Ukraine, Colonel Natalia Humeniuk. She noted that the Russian occupation troops, because of the inability to use their ship's and cat, attacked the island in the Black Sea of tactical aviation with aviation-managed bombs (cubic), thus trying to demonstrate its domination over the Black Sea water area.

"About the island of Snake, it is clear that in conditions when the enemy cannot control the northwestern part of the Black Sea by the ship-catter composition, they try to press aviation. They try to demonstrate their domination from time to time in the air. And there were cases, When they conducted a tactical aviation aircraft there, and the efforts to direct managed aviation missiles that were not successful and, as a rule, lost their combat capacity over the sea, ”Humeniuk stressed.

According to the spokeswoman, the facts of Russian aviation pressure are also seen as an attempt to disrupt the work of the navigation corridor, which Ukraine sends its agricultural products, including grain. "Because the recommended maritime routes go along the Snake Island," Gumeniuk explained.

With regard to demonstrative shock operations on the island of Snake, at the end of 2023, British intelligence warned that Russia resorted to such risky actions to demonstrate its influence in the Black Sea. Recall that British intelligence has recently informed how the Russian Naval Command is trying to hide its fleet to protect it from attacks by Ukrainian sea drones-covered the entrance to the water area of the Novorossiysk Sea Port.
