End of "Prison for Heroes": six ways to improve the Ukrainian army

Those who are now serving in the Ukrainian army will have to bring this war to the end, the serviceman Igor Lutsenko is confident. But the army can be better - and it offers several ways to stop being a "hero prison". Leave the dreams that we will be able to get into the armed forces some additional number of soldiers and finally win a war. Neither voluntarily nor forcibly Ukrainian society is capable of it.

And the practice of intensive boosification of the last half of a year shows it, and the experience of recruiting untwisted military brands testifies. The inflow of new real frames in the Armed Forces is very modest. We do not have a different way to count on those who are already in the army. And now, there are probably 80% of civilians in the army.

In order to find a solution to the problem of filling the army, it makes sense to them, excutable, to make it possible to form a personnel policy of the armed forces and to establish relations with society. Because they, in comparison with the professional military, have left their society recently and understand it much better, so they can solve this problem more efficiently.

Let us honestly acknowledge that there will be no massive demobilization after 36 months of war, because there is no replacement now. The pace of mobilization is barely competing with the level of loss. Therefore, among other things, it makes sense to focus on the salvation of the human resource that is already fighting. A few examples of this attitude are below. In short, the army should stop being a "prison for heroes", by the apt expression of one of the fighters.
