In Lviv region, drug dealers tried to sell psychotropes to the wounded military - DBR

Per month, the attackers sold about 7,500 doses worth over UAH 600 thousand, law enforcement officers say. They covered their activities by a public veteran organization. Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) exposed a criminal group in the Lviv region, which made and distributed drugs. The attackers even tried to sell the forbidden substances to the wounded military who undergo complex and painful treatment. This was reported in the DBR press service.

The illegal business was organized by a resident of the region together with current and former servicemen. They have established the sale of psychotropic substances, in particular amphetamine among the local population of Chervonograd. A month the group sold up to 7,500 doses for more than UAH 600 thousand. To cover their activities, the attackers created a veteran public organization. Drugs and psychotropes were stored and packed in its premises.

The drug dealers tried to plant on the forbidden substances of the wounded military, claiming that they would help to alleviate their suffering from pain. The organizer of the business and his accomplice was detained during an attempt to sell a party of amphetamine weighing 115 grams. During the search in the premises of the NGO, packets with psychotropic substance prepared for sale were found.

The persons reported suspected of illegal production and sale of narcotic drugs in particularly large sizes made by an organized group (Part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for up to 10 years.
