Distracting maneuver at the border: the DPSU told about the plan of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the north

This was reported by the SPSU spokesman Andriy Demchenko in an interview with Ukrinform. "The situation (near the border with the Russian Federation-ed. ) Is extremely different from the fact that we have on the border with Belarus. The border areas are fired daily. There are constantly hostile sabotage and intelligence groups," Andrey Demchenko said.

According to him, from the beginning of 2023 the events of the Russian DRG began in the Chernihiv region, after which their number increased in Sumy region. At the end of last year, significant activity was also observed in Kharkiv region. However, now the greatest activity is Sumy. Andriy Demchenko said that a few days ago the border group recorded an attempt by the Russian DRG as a part of more than ten people.

The enemy tried to replace the border paths in order to blame the locals or the Armed Forces. However, the hostile group was exposed, after which the shooting battle was tied. "Under pressure, the enemy went beyond the border line. Fortunately, no one died of our boys in this battle," Demchenko explained. He stressed that the Russians now have insufficient forces to make an invasion that would allow the Russians to achieve a strategic goal.

Demchenko believes that the enemy can also carry out a distracting maneuver that the Ukrainian military holds the required number of forces near the border and did not transfer the units to other areas of the front where the fighting is underway. The DPSU spokesman added that enemy DRGs are attempted not every day, but with a certain frequency. In particular, once or twice a week.
