"Fry" UAV at a distance of 3 km: in China presented a new microwave

The FK-4000 system uses microwaves that are virtually invisible and can cover larger areas than lasers. The Chinese Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation has presented a mobile FK-4000 air defense system at a large-scale airfare in Zhuhayai, which affects drones with powerful microwaves. About it writes the newspaper South China Morning Post. It is reported that the FK-4000 can intercept the smallest and lightweight UAVs up to small devices.

The system is equipped with an antenna lattice about eight meters wide, capable of transmitting microwave pulses up to 3 km in less than a second. The article states that the microwave is faster than traditional drones. In addition, they are practically invisible and can affect a large area, which makes them more effective than lasers for large areas.

The exhibition also featured a Norico Group HPM system equipped with a microwave grille of approximately the same size as the FK-4000, with a fixing and integrated searches and tracking radar. The publication emphasized that the swarms of UAV and the systems of counteraction to them, which were in particular, were represented at Zhuhaya Air Force, are considered critical in the possible scenario of the Taiwan war.
