New ST1 drones are being tested in Ukraine: the invaders' explosives will be autonomous

The complex consists of two drones, one of which is looking for explosive devices, and the other marks their location on the ground and on a virtual map. In Ukraine, the Brave1 project tests the innovative St1 unmanned unmanned complexity complex from Ailand Systems. The Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov announced this on his Facebook page. ST1 is an autonomous drone for the search for mines.

It is equipped with an induction coil and sensors, which allows you to hold obstacles at low altitude. Also on board - a powerful microcomputer that processes the data and transmits them to the sappers in real time. According to Dmitry's drone developers, one of the developers of the drone, which includes two drones at once, which automatically fulfill the MIN Search Mission.

The drones work in pairs: the first scans the territory and detects a mine with the help of a metal detector, and the second puts the mark in the form of a flag, and also enters the data on the map. According to Dmitry, now, due to the invasion of Russia in Ukraine, about half of our country has been replaced, and it will probably take ten years. The developers are currently testing their system and are ready to collect several such sets a month. The cost of a pair of drones is about $ 5,000.

The drone can be used on any landscapes. Unlike mine machines, it is cheaper, faster and more maneuverable. According to Mikhail Fedorov, on average ST1 works 4 times faster than a person. This will greatly accelerate the process of demining the Ukrainian territories and make it safer. For example, the SES, the Armed Forces, the National Police will be able to control the drone and look for mines from a safe place. "Technology and innovation is the key to our victory and post-war renewal.
