Test on the battlefield: The Defense Ministry simplifies the supply of new weapons to the army

From now on, it can take up to 20 days from the moment of contracting the contract to the supply of weapons to the battlefield. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has accelerated the supply of new weapons to the army. Now you do not have to expect permission to allow operation. The press service of the department reports. The Cabinet of Ministers amended the Resolution of February 25, 2015 at 345. Thanks to this, the latest weapons will come faster. The process should be reduced to 20 days.

However, the Ministry of Defense noted that the terms may change depending on the quality and completeness of the materials provided by the manufacturer. The department noted that earlier weapons or equipment had to pass 6 stages from the moment of conclusion of the contract to receipt of the army. Particularly delayed the process of issuing an order for admission to operation. Waiting for bureaucratic procedures could take several months.

Also, for about a month, the order was approved between the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff. In addition to the fact that there is no need for admission to operation, updating applies to other procedures. The test of new equipment will happen directly on the battlefield. If you do not require additional tests, the weapon will be used. An example of the Ministry of Defense called the Ukrainian SUU "Bogdan", which was tested on the battlefield and went to the series.
