The Armed Forces was beaten by a rare Russian drone "Orion": the more dangerous are Iranian Shahd (video)

UAVs are equipped with aviation bombs, missiles and intelligence equipment. The air defense is infrequently impressed. On November 15, the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down 11 Russian drones in the sky, including a rare Orion model. The Air Force command reported on Facebook. According to preliminary data, the Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 73 winged missiles and all 10 drones-Kamikadze, which launched the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

In addition, the Armed Forces managed to knock down Russian Orion UAVs, which have only recently been adopted by the Army of the Aggressor Country. Orion was developed by the Cronstadt defensive company in response to the Turkish Bayraktar. In August, the manufacturer announced the start of the tests, promising to finish them by the end of 2022. The Army-2022 Forum was soon held, in which the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation ordered "Orion" for the needs of the army.

Orion is known to be a multifunctional apparatus and is collected in various modifications. Drones can be equipped with a useful load for exploration or bombing shells: Aviation Bombs CAC-20, CAC-50, which are driven by UPAB-50 aircraft, unmanaged Fab-50 aircraft, Air-Earth missiles. They can carry several different ammunition at once (the number depends on the type) and make a lot of shocks, then return to the base for refueling and recharging.

In this way, "Orions" are different from one -time shahd that explode after collision for the purpose. Outside, Orion is distinguished by the presence of a white "cap", located in the front of the fuselage - it hides the satellite communication module, which increases the flight range. Thanks to this technology, the drone can perform combat missions outside the area of the ground control station.

"Kronstadt" produces export models called "Orion", and the drones intended for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are called "Orion-e" or "inochod". Analysts suggest that their characteristics may be slightly different.

Known characteristics of the Dron "Orion-e" ("Inochode") On November 15, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched more than 90 missiles in Ukraine: about 70 winged missiles X-101/X-555 from Tu-95 aircraft flying above the Caspian Sea, and from Rostov region, as well as about 20 caliber missiles from ships to the Black Sea. In addition, the Russians aimed at Ukrainian objects of 10 Iranian drones-Kamikadze Shahd-136 and Shahd-131.
