Tallamhoe, the media writes that the Armed Forces have changed radio frequencies so that it is more difficult for Russian troops to detect drones. They claim that Ukrainian soldiers now use the frequency of 720-730 megahertz, which does not allow the means of detecting drones. For this reason, Chechen developers decided to make a device that would not rely on frequency, but on the sounds made by UAV propellers. To this end, they gathered the library of sounds and placed it on their server.
Russian servicemen who will use Malik will be able to connect to the server and download the updated library and update it periodically. The CB also noted that the acoustic detector was designed on the basis of commercially available components. They emphasized that the device can hear even very quiet sounds or recognize the sound from the drone against the background of other, even loud, sounds. But at what distance "Malik" can determine whether the UAV is approaching.
Malik received two modifications. One is planned to be used in armor, trenches, vehicles. The second is intended for personal use by the occupiers. It is assumed that the mini-gadget will be attached to the bulletproof vest and will play the role of "additional" ears. And again about the radius of action - no word. "This allows the personnel to at least have time to run to the sides and avoid large losses," - explained in the CB.
