Radar stations should increase the accuracy of the enemy's positions with artill...

We will beat the invaders even more precisely: as the counter -offensive of Ukraine will help a new radar 112L4 (photo)

Radar stations should increase the accuracy of the enemy's positions with artillery fire, and will also help save the Ukrainian military scarce ammunition. The domestic radar 112L4 Measurement of the shell speed will be armed with artillery units. The information about this appeared in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on Saturday, September 16. "The Ministry of Defense has allowed the first domestic radar station to measure the shell speed of 112L4," the report.

The profile department explained that Ukrainian artillerymen used either outdated Soviet ABS-1 or Danish Weibel systems. Now the military will have a domestic device, which, with the exception of an element base, is composed by components of Ukrainian origin. "This radar will increase the accuracy of Ukrainian artillery, and therefore reduce the cost of ammunition,"-said a representative of the developer. Note that the device was developed in 2019. Two years ago, factory tests ended.

The product is designed to measure the initial speed of ballistic objects (shells and balls) of different caliber. The meter can be placed in two ways - both in tripod and SAU - and can be integrated into artillery fire systems. According to analysts of the project "militaristic", in the stationary version, with the help of a mechanical musculoskeletal device, the radar can rotate in the azimutal projection of ± 180º, and at an angle of place from 0º ÷ 70º.

From the derivative position to the combat device is brought in 15 minutes. The operator's workplace is located in a safe place, at a distance of 50 m from the product. We will remind, at the end of August Ukraine was handed over the RLS TRML-4D, which will close the sky from rockets of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The multifunctional radar can be used to explore airspace and battlefield, and also allows tactical use as an artillery reconnaissance radar.
