"Will be delivered in the coming days": The Armed Forces fighters finish training at the NASAMS SPR - NYT

Over the last few weeks, Norwegian instructors have trained less than 100 Ukrainian military operations and NASAMS service, as well as related ammunition. Several dozen fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have completed training in Norway using advanced anti -aircraft missile systems NASAMS, which have been transferred to the United States. So, they can be delivered to Ukraine in the coming days. About it reports the American edition of The New York Times with reference to sources.

According to journalists, in the last few weeks, Norwegian instructors have worked with less than 100 Ukrainian servicemen. They were taught the operation and maintenance of the NASAMS system, as well as related ammunition. The high -ranking official from the Pentagon said that the first two systems will be in Ukraine in the near future. The publication states that the provision of NASAMS to Ukraine will solve problems with the supply of missiles to this SPR through a unique design.

Instead of launching rockets specially designed for air defense tasks, NASAMS launches less expensive missiles designed to launch air battles with other combat aircraft. SPRs can launch US landsckets, which are in service with many NATO countries and friendly countries. And since these missiles have a marking that indicates that they have been made in the United States, these countries can assist in secret and not cause anger and possible retribution from Russia.

NASAMS is a mobile Norwegian anti -aircraft missile complex that is designed to combat maneuveating aerodynamic purposes at small and medium altitudes. This CRC can destroy drones, ballistic missiles, helicopters, planes, winged missiles and other goals. We will remind, on November 1 in the Pentagon reported that Ukraine will receive eight NASAMS air defense systems. Two NASAMS systems will deploy in Ukraine in the near future, and six more Kyiv will receive.
