According to the head of NEC

During the war, Ukrainians owed 15 billion UAH for light: who is the greatest non -payer

According to the head of NEC "Ukrenergo" Yuriy Boyko, the cancellation of the moratorium on the shutdown of electricity through debts and the imposition of fines for debtors will help to reduce the level of non -payment among the population. Since the beginning of a full -scale invasion of Russia, Ukrainians have accumulated electricity debt in the amount of UAH 15 billion. This was reported by the head of "Ukrenergo" Yuriy Boyko by the publication of Exipro.

According to him, regions with the most significant debts for electricity cover the Kiev and Kyiv region, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions. "There is a lot of little? In my opinion, it's a lot. Among the largest debtors, many areas that should not be there," he says. Boyko expressed his hope that the cancellation of the moratorium on electricity off through debts and the imposition of fines for debtors will help to reduce the level of non -payment.

"From my point of view, the decision to remove the moratorium was made too late. It should be done about 15 months ago," Boyko said. According to Boyko, the regions with the most significant debts for electricity cover the Kiev and Kyiv region, as well as Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions.

He explained that the country survived the shock of the first months of the war, stabilized the work of the economy, financial and banking systems, in addition, the aggressor was successfully expelled from a large part of the territory, and active fighting is not ongoing throughout our country, so the debts of some regions, on it opinion, raise questions.

"I ask a rhetorical question: how hostilities, for example, in Kharkiv region, should justify the fact of non -payment for consumed electricity, for example, in Kyiv? In my firm conviction, no," - said Boyko. We will remind, the director of the analytical and research center "Institute of City" Alexander Sergienko stated that the debt of Ukrainians on utilities is not as large as some media outlets, and the largest debts-from residents of Pechersk and Obolon districts of Kyiv.
