According to the Head of State, the end of the war is impossible without the complete withdrawal of hostile troops from our territory and the return of people held in the Russian Federation. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the country has the right to determine which the alliance it wants to become. He expressed his opinion on this during a speech in the Verkhovna Rada on June 28.

According to the Head of State, there should be a national consent about the issue of the victory of Ukraine in the war. "When we talk about the victory of Ukraine in this war, the war for freedom and independence, we speak specifically. The victory of Ukraine is a release from the Russian occupation of all our territory. No part of Ukraine we will leave the enemy," the statement reads.

Volodymyr Zelensky believes that the victory of Ukraine is impossible without the full withdrawal of the occupier troops from our territory and the return of all citizens who are held captive or by force were deported into the territory of the Russian Federation. It is also necessary to restore sovereignty within the internationally recognized borders of 1991, including the Crimean Peninsula.

At the same time, the President of Ukraine added that in the future citizens will decide in the future what alliances will be joined, and all these issues will be discussed. "Ukraine will choose alliances for itself and its future. Obviously in the EU, obviously in NATO. We have to realize that the path to the main, to our victory is difficult. Now no one can say when we go to the end. But there should be national consent to determine our victory, " - summed up Vladimir Zelensky.
