New penalties were introduced in Ukraine during the war: which will have to pay for

Together with the guests of the country, stricter responsibility will be carried out by individuals and legal entities that help foreigners to evade the departure from the country after the expiration of their stay. From August 20, foreigners and stateless persons for illegal stay in the territory of Ukraine will be punished in Ukraine. Responsibility for the citizens who contribute to them is also increased.

The corresponding amendments to the Administrative Code were approved by deputies of the Verkhovna Rada on June 29, 2023, and on July 18 the document was signed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The law stipulates that the penalties for violation of migration legislation will be increased.

For example: for exceeding a foreigner or a stateless person of a set period of stay in Ukraine for more than 30 days, residence in the territory of Ukraine without documents or on invalid documents or documents will be fined from 3 400 to 5 100 UAH. For repeated violation, the amount of the fine will be from 5 100 to 6 800 thousand hryvnias. In addition, if the illegal actions are repeated during the year, then the fine will be from 1 700 to 2 550 UAH, for officials - from 3 400 to 5 100 UAH.
