China and Brazil want to hold a peaceful summit on which Ukraine and the Russian Federation - Bloomberg

Brazil and China called for the expansion of humanitarian aid and condemned the potential use of weapons of mass destruction in the Russian-Ukrainian war. Brazil and China have called for an international peace conference recognized by both Russia and Ukraine, during which to discuss possible options and conditions for the end of the war. Bloomberg writes about it.

"China and Brazil support an international peace conference at the appropriate time, recognized by both Russia and Ukraine, with equal participation of all parties, as well as a fair discussion of all peace plans," - said in a joint statement of Brazil and China signed in Beijing. Bloomberg journalists noted that this was the first case when China signed a joint declaration with another country on the Russian-Ukrainian war.

In this way, these two countries create an alternative to promoting Kyiv's own peace plan with the support of the West. In particular, Switzerland agreed to organize an international conference to discuss the peace plan of Ukraine. Russia has not been invited to the summit, and it is expected that the leaders of many countries, including Brazil and China, will be missed.

China and Brazil, who, together with Russia, are in the Brix group, generally refused to stand on someone's direction in the war, although Beijing, in particular, provided an important economic and political rescue circle for Moscow that came under sanctions. "This makes any efforts of these countries in the direction of peace negotiations are problematic," the material reads.

Beijing and Brazil were also called on to expand humanitarian aid and condemned the potential use of weapons of mass destruction in the Russian-Ukrainian war. Recall that on May 24, French President Emmanuel Macron criticized Russian leader Vladimir Putin for his refusal to propose a truce during the Olympic Games. On May 23, Global Press, citing sources at the China Ministry of Defense, reported that China's People's Liberation Army will invade Taiwan Island in early June this year.
