Satellite images showed that during the full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation, the Russian army has devastated the reserves of its towed artillery. The Russians have exhausted one of the largest bases for the storage of towed artillery installations "Lesna Gorodok". This is evidenced by data from the satellite images for 2020 and 2024, which compared the OSINT analyst High Marsed in its account on social network X.

Updated images show that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation seized about 60% of the stored installations. The rest of the remaining, according to the OSINT analyst, may be unusable. According to the third picture, below, it can be concluded that the guns in 2024 compared to 2020. However, most tow guns are displaced from other 122 mm M-30 guns of World War II. High Marsed claims that they are likely to be almost unusable as they cannot use modern shells.

At the same time, the OSINT analyst suggests that the Russians still have a limited stock of appropriate shells. High Marsed predicts that the warehouses with guns D-30, MT-12 and D-1/D-20 will be completely devastated during this year, and therefore at the end of 2024 the base of storage "Lesna Gorodok" will have only about 400 units of installations. Most of them will not be restored. For the most part, these will be M-30.
