To spread: According to Polish military observers, it is likely that the only copy of howitzers, which was demonstrated at the landfill in the Leningrad region. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has recently introduced a new wheel artillery installation 2C44 "Hyacint-K", which combines elements of artillery systems 2C43 "Malva" and towing gun 2A36 "Hyacint-B". And recently, a video of the test of a new SAU was published on the network with a demonstration of its capabilities.

As noted in the Polish Defense24, it is likely that the only copy that is on the landfill in the Leningrad region. One of the key characteristics of 2C44 is to increase firing range. If for 2C43 "Malva" range varied within 24. 5-36 km, then the new system is able to impress goals at a distance of 29-33 km, and with a new type of ammunition, the range can reach 50 km.

In addition, the installation is equipped with an additional mesh armor, which increases its survivability, in particular, protecting against attacks using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This decision was a response to modern threats that arise in the conditions of increased use of drones on the battlefield.

As in the case of previous artillery systems on the basis of 2C43, the 2C44 chassis "Hyacint-K" uses a military truck of BAZ-6010-027 with a transmission of 8 × 8 and a motor of IMZ-849 with a capacity of 500 hp. This enables the artillery installation to develop speeds of up to 80 km/h, which makes it mobile and capable of changing the position on the battlefield.
