USSR Heritage: Russia prepares an object on a new land for nuclear explosion (pictures)

In recent months, activity has been observed on the new land. According to satellite images, new tunnels and roads are being built on the landfill, which can indicate preparing for the test. The head of the central landfill of Russia on the new land, contraradmiral Andriy Sinitsyn, stated that the facility was completely ready for the restoration of nuclear tests.

According to the Bulgarian Militis, the landfill was created 70 years ago, and the first test of the megaton class took place on September 17, 1954, and the latter - October 24, 1990. Although the tests were stopped, the infrastructure is in working order and can be used at any time. Analysts say that in recent months there is an activity on the landfill: satellite images show the construction of tunnels and roads, which may indicate preparation for the recovery of tests.

This causes concern, especially against the background of global nuclear tension. One of the most famous trials on the new earth was the blast of "king-bomb"-the most powerful nuclear bomb in a history equivalent to 50 megatonnes of TNT. This event, which happened on October 30, 1961, demonstrated the power of the Soviet Union and intensified global fears about the devastating potential of nuclear weapons.

The capacity of the "king-bombi" was such that at a distance of up to 900 kilometers the windows broke, and the seismic shock wave caused by the explosion three times overturned the ground. Although the initial capacity of the bomb in 100 megatonne has been reduced twice to limit the loss of radioactive rainfall, its energy is still more than one and a half thousand times exceeded the total capacity of all explosives used in World War II.

In addition, the explosion of the atomic bomb had a huge impact on the environment. Viewers write that today, with increasing tension between Russia and the West, possible nuclear tests are being discussed as a way to demonstrate Russia's power. However, despite such statements, the official Kremlin has not yet made the final decision on this issue.
