At the International Exhibition in Singapore, ST ENGINEERING has introduced a new generation of its assault rifle Next Gen SAR. The sample is a continuation of the SAR 21 rifle, the development of which dates from the end of the 1990s.

The peculiarity of the weapon is that the NG SAR (the abbreviation "New Generation - Singapore assault rifle") has several special configurations - they include a sniper installation, equipped with a high -tech fire management system, which effortlessly cits the target. On the other hand, weapons are a grenade launcher that is easily integrated with the STK40GL starting installation from ST Engineering.

Experts say that the best words to describe a new rifle platform are modularity and flexibility. NG SAR has an updated modern appearance, while maintaining the overall form of SAR 21. The rifle has a total length of 805 mm and a weight of about 3. 82 kg without a equipped store. It is completed with two different trunks-15-inch (381 mm) and 20-inch (508 mm) with a 556 mm-typical Cliber with a rifle 1 to 7 inches. Depending on the barrel, the total length is approximately 670 and 810 mm, respectively.

The new weapon is accepting Stanag 4179 stores, but the company supplies its own polymer stores.
