Ukrainian Figurist Viktor Petrenko is deprived of the presidential scholarship through visiting Russia and speeches in the territory of the aggressor country after the start of a full-scale war-Decree

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky deprived the scholarships of a Ukrainian figureist, champion of the XVI Winter Olympic Games of Figure Skating Viktor Petrenko. The head of state signed the relevant decree No. 567/2022. In July this year, the athlete spoke on the ice show "Alanky color" in Sochi despite the brutal war against Ukraine resolved by the Russian Federation. His act was condemned by the National Olympic Committee and the Ukrainian Figure Riding Federation (UFFK).

In addition, Viktor Petrenko stopped participating in the training process, training of athletes for national teams of Olympic sports and activities on the development of public physical and sports movement. Given the above, the UFFC made a submission to the Ministry of Youth and Sports to deprive him of his state scholarship.
