Three helicopters of the Armed Forces landed on the forefront: the drones of the Russian Federation were watching them, "Isanders" were alert - Forbes

Russian drones began to penetrate deeper into the rear of Ukraine, and rockets and bombs - to strike vulnerable and valuable objects in the rear, journalists write. In their view, the Armed Forces should accelerate processes and increase air defense. For the second time in two months, the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces landed near the front line in the eastern part of the country for refueling and re -equipment. But they were noticed by Russian drones.

Soon, Russian ammunition - perhaps, the Spider's ballistic missile - undermined three helicopters near Pavlograd, 110 km from the front line in the Berdychiv area. Forbes writes about it. Journalists call an event evidence that it is still difficult to maintain adequate air defense throughout the front line.

A pair of shock helicopters Mi-24 and Mi-17, who accompanied them, performed the task of about the last Saturday at the forefront of weapons and refueling, that is, not far from the front line, where helicopters can safely land so that the support troops can burst on fuel and fuel trucks . The idea is that helicopter crews quickly, ideally, in a few minutes, rise into the air and flew before the enemy will be able to go to support.

Similar operations are performed daily, helicopters perform missions at low altitudes along the front line: carry supplies, wounded and start unmanaged missiles through Russian troops. In the first two years of the war, such support points were in sufficient safety: the air defense of Ukraine defended the refueling points, and the Russian "chain of murders" - the detection of goals and the attack - was slow. But then the ammunition ended at the air defense.

And partly thanks to the new communication systems, the Russian chain has accelerated. "Russia is using new technology to improve the connection between the sensor and the shooter," Bler Baler Battersby, an Officer of the British Army, wrote.

According to journalists, by the spring of 2024, Russian drones began to penetrate deeper into the rear of Ukraine, and rockets and bombs began to impress the most vulnerable and valuable objects in the rear: radars, radio facilities, anti-aircraft missile batteries, missile installations, military planes and helicopters. US Army General Claire Hill and his colleague Major Bridget Due expected such developments three years ago.

The US Army is accustomed to posting large support points for tens of helicopters. But times have changed. "What it has worked in the past may no longer be repeated," Gill and Day wrote. These estimates are correct even in cases where support points are small. On March 13 or a little earlier, the Russian UAV noticed three assault helicopters of Mi-8 and Mi-17 of the 12th Aviation Brigade of the Armed Forces, on a field in the area of Novopavlivka, 50 km from the ruins of Avdiivka.

Two helicopters were destroyed and at least two pilots were killed. Two months later, it happened again - about the same area. Novopavlivka is located 60 km east of Pavlograd. The four helicopter brigades of the Armed Forces are not at risk that the technique will end. They entered the war 27 months ago when there were about 40 Mi-24 and 60 Mi-8 in service. According to journalists, the Armed Forces also restore some old helicopters, and from the Allies received at least 90.

But that does not mean that there are no reasons for concern. Each lost helicopter is the death or injury of two or more crew members, and it is difficult to replace experienced pilots than equipment.

According to the authors of the publication, losses at vulnerable support points can continue, if the Armed Forces do not accelerate the re -equipment and refueling procedures, will not add more anti -defense defense or will not move to safer operations at night, or to some combination of the mentioned options. Recall that the Armed Forces showed in the work the shock drone "Queen of Hornets".
