German Chancellor Olaf Scholtz is convinced that it is necessary to study all the possibilities of launching a peace process in Ukraine. He stated this during his official visit to Kazakhstan, Reuters reports.

President Kazakhstan Kasim-Zomart Tokaev, while meeting with a German politician, called for him to give him the idea that Russia can be defeated by a military path on a battlefield, so China's peace plan should be supported. German Chancellor rejected such a proposal. Astana still remains a close ally of Moscow, although it does not accept any of the parties in the war between Ukraine and Russia.

Kazakhstan also does not support the occupation of the Ukrainian territories, although it calls for peace in any way. "It is a fact that Russia cannot be defeated in the military sense. The further escalation of the war will lead to irreparable consequences for all humanity and, above all, for countries involved in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict," Kasim-Zhomart Tokayev said. Olaf Scholt, for his part, immediately stated that he did not agree with such conclusions.

Berlin supports Kyiv due to the fact that Moscow has invaded its territory illegally, and this assistance will continue to protect itself in Ukraine and thereby maintain integrity and sovereignty. At the same time, German Chancellor is convinced that it is necessary to seek the diplomatic end of the war, and the second summit of peace, which will take place by the end of the year and in which Russia can participate, can play an effective role in this.
