53-year-old Igor Volobuyev in the past held the position of head of the Gazprom press service and was an employee of Gazprombank. Moscow wrote the warrant for his arrest. 53-year-old Volobuyev said that he had been injured in Bakhmut last year, but later returned to the front and recently learned to control the drone. In the past, he held the position of head of the press service of Gazprom and an employee of Gazprombank. In an interview with journalists, he said that he was born in Ukraine during the USSR, who went to study and work in Moscow, but never lost his ties with Ukraine.

In 2014, he spoke against the seizure of Crimea, and a full -scale invasion of Russian troops in 2022 became for him that last straw from the proverb that broke the camel's back, journalists said. "My friends and acquaintances started to call, and I decided that I couldn't stay with Russia anymore. Let's say so, past eight years I have been looking for moral forces to leave," he said.

Volobuyev received permission from representatives of security forces to enter Ukraine and within a few months was on the front line. He said that he participated in the battles in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions. He said the wound during his evacuation of the wounded. At the same time, those who were near him died. The Russian authorities wrote the warrant for the arrest of Volobuyev, but he says he does not plan to return.
