53-year-old Igor Volobuyev in the past held the position of head of the Gazprom press service and was an employee of Gazprombank. Moscow wrote the warrant for his arrest. In an interview with journalists, he said that he was born in Ukraine during the USSR, who went to study and work in Moscow, but never lost his ties with Ukraine.

In 2014, he spoke against the seizure of Crimea, and a full -scale invasion of Russian troops in 2022 became for him that last straw from the proverb that broke the camel's back, journalists said.
