In Ukraine, the Russian Sagittarius Complex: Why does it need scouts of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (photo)

The Russian system works only through foreign electronics, mainly from the US and Germany. Without it, the Russians will not be able to produce "shooters". In Ukraine, the Russian complex of intelligence, management and communication (CRUS) "Strelets" and "Strelets-M" for combat equipment "Ratnik" was explored. The review on its Telegram-channel was posted by Ukrainian military expert Sergey Beskrestnov, known under the pseudonym "Flash", which received the sample.

Specialist Vladislav Zhirnov opened blocks of a trophy device, studied the content, and also accompanied his conclusions with information taken from open sources. "Sagittarius" and "Sagittarius-M" are issued at the enterprise "Radio Avionika", they are adopted by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in 2007, delivered series. The complex is a mobile computer that can be connected to a variety of devices.

It combines with all Russian reconnaissance devices, observation, aiming, targeting, radar, rangefinders, angles, unmanned aerial vehicles. Computers can be combined into one network, then the unit commander will be able to see information about subordinates, as well as receive from them information about the enemy. The soldier needs to press a few buttons, and the coordinates of his location or enemy location will appear on the commander's computer.

The head of the unit will be able to combine this information with the electronic map of the area, or with a satellite image of the district. First of all, the "shooter" is intended for military scouts. The complex is equipped with an autonomous navigation module, which is provided with an inertial system. It allows the fighter to know exactly his accurate coordinates even beyond satellite navigation, with navigation systems switch automatically.

The range of interaction of the complex in the department is about 1. 5 km, but each "shooter" serves as a repeater. The soldiers can pass on the radio stations recorded commands that can be listened to immediately or after a while. This is done so that the scouts do not distract and lose visual control over the situation. The connection between the units is maintained with the help of a tablet of two types: "TT" and "AK".

Both models are protected from environmental influences by standards exceeding IP68. According to Vladislav Zhirnov, no electronic components of Russian production were found in the complex, except for the chip (533ln2p), parts of the case and some cables. The rest of the electronics are made mainly in the US, Germany, Korea or China. "It can be concluded that without the supply of such components, it will not be possible to produce this complex," the expert added.

The Sagittarius has several different accessories. The simplest option is intended for lower -level servicemen, such as a department commander. The best version can be obtained by platoon commanders and above, with a powerful computing complex with a multifunctional remote. The most advanced equipment can be obtained by units: battalions or crews. During the Waval-2009 exercises, Russian troops used the Strelets complexes to indicate the purpose of Su-24M aircraft.

To do this, the objects were first illuminated with a laser rangefinder and their coordinates were determined, then they appeared on the computer of the commander and were sent a bomber through a radio station up to 8 km, and when using a ground retranslator - up to 200 km. Other aircraft can serve as additional repeating. Recently, the Ukrainian military destroyed the rare Russian complex of Peroed Reb.
