Military "cross" robots and armored vehicles: as new technology will strengthen the army
It is an advanced technology that allows you to effectively interact with manned and unmanned vehicles. It is expected that it will give significant advantages when coordinating tasks, decision -making and reducing the risk of troops.
By integrating MUM-T into mission planning, you can expand the operational parameters, providing better situational awareness and increased ability to respond to indefinite and hostile conditions, and as a result-to increase the chances of success of the combat mission. The purpose of the demonstration was to prove the possibility of coordination between manned and unmanned vehicles to increase the efficiency of operations and reduce risks to the military.
The experiment is based on the Autonomous Rex MK II system, which provides direct support of infantry units. This unmanned autonomous car, equipped with universal capabilities, can perform many important tasks. It provides tactical logistics support, tactical intelligence, observation and reconnaissance (ISR), and is also able to detect goals and evacuate the wounded. Rex MK II has a "follow me" driving mode, adapted for infantry, and can carry a payload of up to 1. 25 tons.
Due to the hybrid electrical installation, the armor can overcome more than 300 kilometers (approximately 70 kilometers in hidden mode from the HRS systems). Moreover, the machine can be controlled remotely outside the direct visibility and completely translate it into automated mode as needed. In addition, Rex MK II is not too large, so it can be delivered to the battlefield directly on the helicopter. Another armor in the experiment was ACV C4UAS.
It is an armored vehicle with an 8x8 wheel formula with reliable protection, mobility and integrated systems that make it a valuable asset for military operations, ensuring increased vitality, versatility and successful tasks both on land and water. This adapted amphibian platform developed in cooperation with Iveco Defense Vehicles combines the possibilities of management, control, communication and calculations with unmanned aviation systems (BAS).
Engineers claim that the successful demonstration of MUM-T capabilities indicates the versatility and ability to expand ACV C4UAS amphibians. Thanks to joint management, several combat vehicles are gaining preference to the enemy: the best control of the battlefield, faster decision making and protection of personnel.
