"Escalation": Turkey warned Russia after attacking the ship in the Black Sea
The Turkish Public Relations Office stated that after Russia's intervention, the relevant persons in the Russian Federation were warned about the need to avoid such situations that could impair tension in the Black Sea. "The incident was surprised because it is unclear why the board was conducted so close to the Turkish waters. After the incident, the ship was headed to the Ukrainian port of Izmail, which is the main export route for Ukrainian agricultural products," the message reads.
On August 13, the Russian Armed Forces made warning shots in the Black Sea on a civilian vessel şükrü Okan, which was heading in the direction of the port of Izmail. Subsequently, the armed forces stopped the vessel, planted a landing detachment and conducted inspection of the cargo on its board.
This incident in the Black Sea caused significant public outrage, and the Ukrainian side qualified the event as an act of piracy as previously reported, the Russian forces initially made warning shots on the vessel şükrü Okan, which was swimming under the flag of Palau. In the future, Russian armed marines made a plaque on a ship with a helicopter in international waters, near the northwestern coast of Turkey and close to Istanbul.
