Russia was not first elected to the UN International Court of Justice: Zelensky reacted

According to the Ukrainian President, the decision of the UN Member States indicates that the organization began to "purify itself from the harmful influence of Russia. " For the first time in history, the Russian Federation was not elected members of the United Nations (UN) to the UN International Court of Justice. The Judge of the European Court of Human Rights Mykola Hnatovsky wrote about it on his Facebook page on November 9.

According to Gnatovsky, the Judge of the International Court of International Court of Ukraine was elected Romanian Foreign Ministry Judge Bohdan Aursca, and therefore, in the Hague, there will be no Russian judge in the Hague. "This is the second case in history when a permanent member of the Security Council will not be presented in the UN International Court of Justice," Gnatovsky stated.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on the social network X commented on the decision of the UN members not to grant Russia the right to do justice on their behalf in the International Court. According to him, the UN began to "purify itself from the harmful effects of Russia. " The Ukrainian leader also greeted representatives of Australia, Mexico, Romania, South Africa and the US with votes. "The world sees who destroys international law and does not protect it," Zelensky wrote.

We will remind that on September 20, more than a dozen European states, as well as Australia and Canada, supported Ukraine's case on the accusation of Russia of abuse of the Genocide Convention to create preconditions for invasion of the territory of Ukraine. On September 27, the Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Chief Military Prosecutor Viktor Chumak also stated that Russian propagandists were waiting for a defendant ICS in the Hague.
