He stated this at a conference at the University of Georgetown, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the North Atlantic Alliance. "NATO countries do not think that we are in a state of war with Russia. And we do not want it," Cavoli said. According to his statements, to avoid direct clash with Russia, the Alliance provides support to Ukraine. Cavoli's statements were opposed to the statements of some Western politicians who provided a possible clash between NATO and Russia in the near future.
