The Armed Forces first showed OSA SPR with new rockets (video)

The Soviet ZRC integrated the P-73 plane, which was also previously installed on the Magura V5 sea drone. OSA anti-aircraft missile complex received new missiles to intercept enemy goals-P-73. About it reports Defense Express. The North Operational Command posted a video of the 1129th anti-aircraft missile of the Bilotserkivsky Regiment with OSA SPR. For the first time, the official staff showed that the PPO complex received new missiles.

On one side, the launch and successful defeat of the reconnaissance UAVs of Russian troops was recorded with the help of a full -time missile 9m33. However, on the other side of the launcher, as the observers noticed, there was a rocket class "Air-Air" R-73. Small number of parts and not high image quality did not prevent the identification of a specific type of ammunition.

Earlier, OSA photos with R-73 missiles have already been published on the network or media, but this is the first official image from OK "North". The authors point out that the use of the P-73 in the role of anti-aircraft missile is logical in view of the need to provide Soviet anti-aircraft missile complexes with ammunition. P-73 when starting from the ground will have a radius of about 12 km, which is 2-3 km more than the staff 9m33.

However, the difference in ammunition lies in the weight of 128 kg in 9m33 against 105 kg in P-73 and the weight of the battle part 15 against 8 kilograms, respectively. In addition, there is a large difference in rocket. 9m33 has a radio command, that is, it is guided by the "wasp" itself, and the P-73 has an infrared head of self-introduction. The authors then state that the P-73 will be more effective against winged missiles and other purposes, while 9m33 against drones.
