Putin's armored train called congestion on the rail during a trip to Valdai

According to the Russian political scientist Sergei Markov, the special traction was needed by the Kremlin head for a trip to the residence of the Novgorod region. On Friday, February 18, trains on the Moscow-Tver Railway, one of the most loaded areas in the Russian Federation, was stopped to miss the special train of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The trains departing from the Leningrad station stopped at the seven o'clock in the evening on all tracks, and a congestion was formed on Moscow. Representatives of the passenger company noted that in the Leningrad direction the train was late because it was necessary to miss the special train of the Kremlin head. According to Russian political scientist Sergei Markov, the train was needed to travel to the presidential residence on Valdai.

"They say Putin has decided to try a special traction and go on it to a residence for Valdai," the political scientist wrote with reference to the information of the railways. It is known that the special train of the President of the aggressor country belongs to the company "Grand-Service Express", connected with the representative of his near circle, entrepreneur Yuriy Kovalchuk.

The train was built in 2014–2015, but it began to master Putin in the second half of 2021, shortly before the large-scale invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine. According to journalists, the armored train is at a depot at Moscow-Kalanchevskaya station, where there is also a closed VIP-Person station. A few years ago, a new highway was laid directly to the platform.
