In 2022, Belarus handed over 211 units of military equipment, which was stored on the territory of the 969th base in the Urich Minsk region. This storage is one of the largest in the country. Belarus built more than 20 hangars in the largest tank storage. From this base, equipment for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in 2022 was exported. This was reported in the monitoring group "Belaruski Gayun" on February 8.

"More than 20 hangars have been built in the largest tank storage of Belarus in recent years," the message reads. In October 2022, Belaruski Gayun found that 211 units of military equipment were transferred to Russia, including 98 T-72A tanks. Military equipment was exported from the 969th base of the tank reserve in Urichchi of the Minsk region. This place is one of the largest, where the inviolable stock of various military equipment, especially tanks, is stored.

One of the X users (Twitter) shared satellite images and noted that the number of buildings increased in the 969th base. Belaruski Gayun's monitoring group conducted an analysis and concluded that from 2027 to 2024, 25 hangars (sheds) of various types were built on the base. In particular, at least six sheds were built, which can accommodate 156 cars alone during 2022-2023.

Analysts said that according to satellite images, in 2017, Belarussians kept a large cluster of standing equipment in the open air at the 969th base. "Its movement from open areas to the canopies significantly improves the conditions of storage - banal tanks will rust less," - said Belaruski Gayun. In addition, the movement of military equipment under sheds ensures the secrecy of storage, that is, it is impossible to understand the amount and type of stored equipment.
